Design Process

The Project Luna Lab evolved during a workshop with Joseph Popper, an experienced model builder. Our task was to create and build a scientific looking lab out of inexpensive materials and fitting packaging forms. Within a few days the Luna Lab was finished, consisting of wooden frames, cardboard, styrofoam and found elements. The final task was to create a storyboard for a short film in black and white. Through the color subtraction the parts of the model kept their real materiality hidden and allowed the model to become the Luna Lab.
